Enjoy practicing yoga in the Yucatan, Mexico where there are white sandy beaches and the beautiful aqua-blue Caribbean ocean. We stay at Villas Shanti, a lovely courtyard with pool accommodations, across the street from the ocean. Enjoy daily gentle yoga classes, visiting Mayan ruins, snorkeling or diving in the worlds 2nd largest reef, visiting the jungle, swimming with dolphins, meeting wonderful people, and plenty of time for rest, relaxation & rejuvenation.

Cost for the entire week:
$1,350 per person

Includes:
8 days, 7 nights at Villas Shanti (double occupancy)
Daily yoga classes with Annalisa
An arrival Yucatan dinner, three brunches during the week, and a celebration dinner on our last night together.

All other meals will be at your own expense and choice. There are seven restaurants within walking distance of your apartment, as well as a fruit stand, grocery store and fresh tortilla factory. Each apartment at Villas Shanti has a kitchenette for those who like to cook or store leftovers from restaurants. Please note: airfare is at your own expense.

Tentative Schedule
Yucatan Week

This is a tentative schedule. Please note that everything is optional. It’s your vacation. Also the schedule may change due to weather conditions or other undetermined factors.

Day 1
Arrive, get settled.
4:00 pm walking tour of Puerto Morelos.
5:00 meet back at Villa Shanti for gentle stretching, introductions and orientation.
6:30:PM Authentic Yucatan dinner - yum yum!

Day 2
7:30 Wake up
8:00-9:30 Morning yoga
time for breakfast
11:00 Meet in town plaza for bus trip to Playa Del Carmen ($3 bus fare)
Explore this festive town filled with shops, restaurants, and beautiful beaches.
7:30 Evening group work - setting our intentions for the week, meditation.

Day 3
7:30 Wake up
8:00-9:30 Morning Yoga
time for breakfast
11:00 optional snorkeling in Puerto Morelos with guide - includes boat ride and snorkeling equipment. (Approx. $25)
5:30 Meet back at Villa Shanti for sun set salutations and beach walk before dinner.

Day 4
7:30 Wake up
8:00-9:30 Morning yoga
catered brunch
11:00 Meet in Plaza for group trip to Tulum Mayan ruins. ($8 entrance fee)
4:30 leave for Playa del Carmen where you are free to enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants available, or return to Puerto Morelos.
9:00 meet back at Villas Shanti for group meditation before sleep.

Day 5
7:30 Wake up
8:00-9:30 Morning yoga
Optional Jungle tour - visit Botanical gardens to learn about medicinal plants, take bus deep into the Jungle to meet traditional Mayan family, swim in cenote, lunch included ($40).
7:30 Evening program at Villa Shanti - Stretching, energy healing, meditation.

Day 6
7:30 Wake up
8:00-9:00 - Morning Yoga
catered brunch
11:00 - leave  for Xcarett —an ecological and archeological zoo like park where there are opportunities to watch sea turtles, dolphins,  learn about butterflies, swim in a cenote (underground river), and enjoy a man-made beach with restaurant. At night there is a wonderful performance with actors in costume as ancient Mayans showing us more about the history of the Mayan culture.  ($50 dollar entrance fee for Xcarett)

Day 7
7:30 - Wake Up
8:00-9:30 - Morning Yoga
Free day
8:00pm Evening program - closing ceremony.
